Getting there
Flying in
The closest major airport to Grundsund is Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (GOT).
From there, you have two options:
By Car
Renting a car is the most convenient way to get to Grundsund, with the drive taking around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Simply set your directions to "Grundsund" and follow the road.
By Public Transport
You can also catch public transport from Gothenburg to Grundsund, which typically takes 2.5 hours and involves two changes:
Gothenburg Train Station
Torp Terminalen, Uddevalla
Grundsund
The island is quite small, and therefore quite walkable, so transport while there isn't required.
Activities
There’s a few things to do around the wedding festivities, like padel, kayaking, golf, coastal walks and sauna. So bring your swimmers, walking shoes or anything else you might need!
Below are the links to the different activities so you know where to book:
Information
Dresscode
The dress code is Mörk kostym (dark suit in English).
That means
Men: Dark suit (navy, black or grey), dress shirt, tie, leather shoes
Women: Knee-length or longer dress, or pantsuit
Also to note, as it’s May it might get a little chilly, so don’t forget to bring some extra layers just in case.
Gifts
A few of you have asked about a registry, so we've pulled together a short list of things for our home (once we find it). But if you’re unsure there'll be a wishing well at the reception too.
With that said, Grundsund isn't exactly around the corner for most of you so between flights, trains and time off work we know what it takes to be part of the day and we're so grateful that you can join us.
Kids
As much as we love your little ones, we're keeping the ceremony day child-free. That said, we completely understand if you're breastfeeding and need to have your baby nearby.
